She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science degree is Psychology and spent the first 11 years of her career as an elementary school teacher. After the birth of her first child, Deirdre left the teaching profession to become a stay-at-home-mom. However, it wasn't long until she rekindled her former passion for writing and took up freelance writing. When not writing, Deirdre enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling.
