I bought a sheet of small inexpensive tiles (1X1) that has what appears to be paint on the back. I would like to remove this so that the tiles are completely clear. I've already taken off the webbing. Does anyone know what it is and/or how to remove it. Thanks!!!

You are saying you want it to be clear. Sounds like it might be a glass tile.
The coating on the back is a coating that gives a uniform appearance instead of the wall surface showing through.
Hope this was helpful

These tiles are desirable for crafts requiring the back coating to come off. The glass tiles have an almost plastic backing and the residue from the adhesive and webbing. How do you get it off?
