I have some questions regarding waterproofing my existing basement. When it rains allot for days, we get water seeping in from cracks in my basement under the carpeting. We have to pull up the carpet, put towels on the cracks and install fans to dry it out. We have two sump pumps and the are pumping water out far awy from the house.
My qustions are this:
1) Can I put an epoxy on the cracks and seal them?
2) How far does my downspouts drains need to be away from the house?
3) I installed one pump last year. It is basically a spackle bucket with holes in it with gravel along the outside of it. Do I need to go deeper? Maybe I am not getting deep enough and the water is too close to the surface?
