We have a sunroom that is off the main living room. It is separated by french doors on either side of the fireplace. At the doors it slants down into the sunroom and then it level the rest fo the way. It si about 200sf. We were wanting to lay the tile ourselves as even that is cheaper than doing sheet vinyl. We are unsure of what to do about the slant. We wanted to do big tiles but doesn't seem possible. How can we lay tile in this area?
Hi there
You don't say if you are using vinyl or ceramic tile. Also it is difficult without seeing.
If using ceramic, you can cut the tile at the creases and a gap for grout.
If using vinyl
I would probably round over the top and bend the vinyl over the transition. At the bottom I would use floor leveler to round off crease and again bend the tile.
The best way to bend and cut vinyl tile is to heat it slightly using a heat gun.
Hope this helps
