I just ripped up a bunch of old carpet, which was glued directly onto the wood subflooring. I am undecided as to what I will replace it with (I vote laminate, my husband votes new carpet). Do I need to scrape up all of the old glue? Does the type of new flooring I put in have any bearing on this?
You can use the concrete glue removal or floor adhesive remover. Wash the surface with hot water. After that sand the remaining areas with rough grit sandpaper. Additionally, I shared an article which might help you to get flooring ideas as well.
