I've read some prior posts on this board and others on sound proof glass, and I have a fairly good understanding at this point. There is one question that remains, though, and that is if there is a real benefit to laminating both panes in my thermopane windows.
I have the option of going with 1/4" laminate glazed on both panes, or 1/4" laminate glazed on just one pane, and the cost difference is small enough that I wouldn't mind paying it as long as I know there is an actual benefit. Some of my windows are 3/4" and some are 1", but I'd imagine the benefit would be the same for all of the windows.
