I own a block/stucco Florida home that has a styrofoam ledge affixed to the front. It has some damage to it and I need to know what material should be used to repair it. Someone suggested plaster, but this is exterior and the water exposure would ruin that. Help!
Depending on the damage, mortar will stick well to styrofoam, also depending on your location, you could buy a replacement from Gingerbread Trim. They custom cut styrofoam products, check them out at gingerbreadtrim.com
Also take a look at http://primestucco.com for one of the largest suppliers of pre-coated stucco mouldings
I was looking for some of these sites for where I could gain the right info. Thanks for the share.
Cheers.

Hello Super Dave.
How did your repair turn out?
I have been writing a stucco guide to help with stucco and plastering questions:

I am happy to help. If I get stumped on a question, Herb Nordmeyer the stucco scientist helps out with deeper answers.
