Trying to determine the best way to vent my clothes dryer.

The dryer sits right in the middle of my 2 story home on the bottom level.

The situation: The dryer currently vents to the crawlspace. This portion of the crawlspace is 4 1/2 feet lower that the rest of the crawlspace. There are no readily accessible areas to vent the dryer exhaust. Everywhere by the dryer is the inside of the house.

There is a foundation vent about 10-15 feet away from the dryer, but it is up about a 4 1/2' - 6' rise.

How far can a dryer hose be run and how high can it go before the lint builds up and affects the efficiency of the dryer or even makes it stop drying altogether?

I really don't want to knock a hole in my foundation to do this. I'm hoping the foundation vent will be an out...
