Have a textured ceiling which was painted white (assume the contractor used a white paint with gray pigment in it rather than a pure white). The lower areas of the texture appear gray rather than white and is really noticeable in certain light conditons. Is there a way to remedy this? If I paint over with a pure white will that help eliminate the "gray" areas? Would a flat or satin finish work better to get the ceiling to look as white as possible? My walls are all white with one green feature wall.
