I am replacing a ceiling fan with a light kit to one without a light kit. The current ceiling fan has separate wall switches for the fan and the light. What do I do with the extra set of wires in the ceiling?

Basically, nothing.

In the ceiling box, take the hot wire connected to the light (probably black or red), cover it with a wire nut, and leave it unconnected in the box.

Then at the switch box, you don't have to do anything -- the light switch is still there, but flipping it won't do anything at all.

If that bothers you, you can remove the switch, connect the two wires that were on it together with a wire nut, and push them back inside the box. Then replace the cover plate with one that has that side blank, so it all looks nice on the wall.
