I was cleaning my baseboards in my powder room today when I noticed a pinkish substance at the top corner of the floor baseboards in the corner of the bathroom. My first thought was “oh, no pink shower slime!” But how would pink shower slime get on painted wood trim in a bathroom with no shower? So I did a light wiping with a Clorox wipe and some of the grey colored paint (cheap horrible flat pint) started peeling away above the trim on the dry wall to reveal more pink! When I touched the wall, The substance almost felt like putty. What is this? Why would there be pink putty on my drywall. This house is a production build home built 2.5 years ago and we’ve had nothing but poor workmanship and materials throughout.

What is this pink stuff and why is it under my paint? Help! Is it mold???
