Have a 6" thick poured stampcrete deck. Want to build a freestanding pergola on it. I am looking at approx. 16' width x 8' depth. want to overhang the beams and joints to approx. 1'-6". I am thinking (4) 6"x6"x 10' post, (2) 2"x10"x20' main beams running (16') length in front and back, and 2"x 8" x 10' joists. Is this good design or would I need two intermediate posts and would you recommend angle bracing on posts? Also considering 2"x2" top boards total width for additional sun shading prob. 6" on center. ideal Material would be cedar. Looking at total height of about 10' Back of house faces east where would be building pergola
