I live in a ground level 1 bedroom apartment, with sliding fake wood closet doors in the bedroom & in hallway. The doors make very loud popping noises, on their own, I'm assuming because of temperature fluctuations &/or the people walking above me. This is year-round & it also happens at night & wakes me up. It's very brief, lasts 1-2 seconds. When I had a guy over one night, he heard it & thought there was someone hiding in my closet, banging the doors. I never have my windows open because spiders will come in. Landlord won't let me temporarily remove doors, so is there anything I can do to stop the popping without removing the doors?
