I have a 1950 home, that has a swinging door between the kitchen and the dining room. We simply need to take that door down temporarily to move some items through that door. Evidently, there is a hole at the top where I can push a screwdriver in, and engage a lever, or spring, that disengages the top pin, allowing the door to pivot out at the top, and then lift out at the bottom. I have tried the screwdriver approach, and can tell that I am pressing against a spring loaded piece of metal, but the pin will not disengage. Any suggestions, or alternative approaches? - Thank you, Brian Smith, Cheraw, SC
