6 weeks back, I have just moved to new house (20 year old). I have 1/2 HP sump pump and water backup sump pump in each pit.

Since I moved, we had two major storm in NJ. last time, my both pump ran continuously for 6 days for every 20 secs. Last Friday with ETA hurricane, my pump is running for 5 days non stop. I had professional expert came to house, check valve, sump pump, sump pump drainage pipes. everything looks normal. I stop using water in the house for an hour and made sure water meter did not move. What can it be? No one in my block have seen anything like this. their pump ran for two days and not this often. I am lost..

Note: one of the sump pump has a pipe coming in the pit that brings additional water. I am attaching image. I do not know if this is French drain or some trench drain. where the water is coming from?

Any thought or suggestions will help a lot.

Thank you !!
