I have a hole in my clay chimney flue that is about 6" in diameter. It is accessible from the chimney just above the fireplace in the living room. The flue currently vents an oil fired furnace. I would like to patch the hole and then replace the missing bricks in the chimney. Is this possible and if so, what would I use to patch it?
