I replaced a 3 way switch in a ceiling fan (it runs the speed of the fan) and rewired it just like the last one but now nothing happens. It is the switch with the pull chain coming out. What did I do wrong? Where can I get a wiring diagram for this switch?

many of the replacement switches I've seen for ceiling fans have push-in connectors, rather than attached wires. It's difficult to get good contact with these. If your new switch has that type of conector, and the wire is braided, you might want to solder the end of the braided wire to stiffen it so it will stay in the switch connector.
(Those are a pain in the neck.)
