I recently purchased a Craftsman 1/2 HP Garage Door Opener. Hooked it up and everything worked okay for about 5 months. Then it would stop working. The remotes, the wall button and the external keypad just won't open the door. When you would press the button on any of the remotes or enter the code on the keypad the GDO clicks a few times and the learn light on the site flashes on and off 3 times. To get the unit to work again you have to unplug it and unplug it back in. I tried resetting the breaker for the plug and sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't. Unplugging always makes it work. For a while, it will work for a day or even a few weeks and then just stops. I thought that maybe the weather had something to do with it, but its happened during the warmest summer day and the coldest winter night. Also I changed the torque of the door thinking maybe the door hit some kind of reset mode since it was cranked right up. I tried calling the ***** support line and they told me that they have never heard of this problem before and they didn't even know if one of their technicians could fix it. I am really stuck and if anyone has any ideas I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks

Make sure the safety sensors are clean, not dust-covered or poorly positioned.

Also, make sure they're not in direct sunlight.
