My Kenmore washer top load model# 110.28922790 is making loud clicking noises during the wash cycle. It fills up with water just fine but when it washes it sounds like when you start a car and the battery has gone dead it makes those click sounds like something is trying to turn. Anyway, it goes through the whole cycle just fine, I'm just nervous that this noise is saying that something is broke or will be breaking soon. Do you have any idea what this is before I call someone to come look at it. I like to have knowledge first so I won't get ripped-off.

From where? inside the tubs, from the control panel, towards the bottom of the machine???

If from inside the tubs, it could be a sign the agitator 'dogs' (see the following link) are worn and need to be replaced.

If from inside the control panel, the sound could be coming from the timer which might need to be replaced.

If from under the machine, such a sound could be a sign the motor coupler is going to break (not an expensive problem to correct) or may indicate a problem in the power supply to the motor which could do more damage to the motor (an *expensive* problem to correct) if not looked into in a timely fashion.

These may help....

Agitator helps.

**it fills with water but does not move the clothes around, just makes a cliking sound**

Spin working? If no, the motor coupler may be broken...
