HELP! Can anyone offer information about concrete tilt-up or pre-cast residential construction? Saw an article in Metropolitan Home (July/Aug 2001) where a couple did this in Chicago - for 25% less than stick built. Huge interior expanses and 12' ceilings. No mold risk, great fire resistance, no interior load-bearing walls required. Outside can be stuccoed, inside left bare (I like the industrial look).

Any comments? I can't find any residential contractors that know anything about this. Do I have to go commercial?

Thanks,
Chris

Chris,

The only thing that comes to mind here is Superior wall foundations. They're precast and studded out, I believe.

Not sure if that's what you mean.
