We are staining the exterior of our log home with High Sierra Log Stain. It has a glossy finish. We would also like to put a glossy stain on our deck but need something that would not be slippery when wet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Marlene

Go to any paint store H irshfields,S herwin Williams,etc..
If you want the same color that you are using for your house bring the stain and a sample board of what you are putting it on and they will get you or match your color to a decking stain.
A deck and log siding are different, you cannot use the same stain from your home to deck it won't last.I tell people this you don't walk on your house do you?So it is made to take more abuse than house stain.

Thanks so much. I believe I called the Sherwin Williams store and they said they didn't have anything that would have a glossy finish that wouldn't be slippery but I'll send my husband into the store and I'll let you know what we come up with.

Thanks again, Marlene

You don't want a glossy finish on your deck boards,on the rails would be fine but on the foot boards where you will be walking will not last 3 months.
Click on my user name and see my website this way you will know that I do these all the time.
