I am planning on building a garage and I already have the pad poured. My pad is sloped 2.5" to allow for drainage. When I frame my walls do I need to shim the to compensate for the 2.5" slope? I have seen some garages on sloped pads that have no shimming. Any help is appreciated.
Shimming is not the proper way to go about framing on a sloped slab. You should cut each stud sized to fit the slope so the top plate remains level while the bottom plate follows the slope.
