Our sump pump runs every 5 minutes on up depending on how much rain we get. Right now it is up to 13 minutes from Hurricane Isabel in September! Any ideas on what to do? Do you think there is a leak? Are we on an underground spring? It was great when we were in a drought, it didn't run at all but now we are in a rainy pattern and it does not stop. It is causing our ground to be too wet to mow, water out to the street is now freezing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The pump will run as needed. It's not unusual for a pump to run like this with a high water table. Hydrostatic pressure occurs to your surrounding walls and floor.
