i was hoping to install a Bosch Aquastar 125b tankles waterheater in my house, but the chart in the pamphlet says i need 150 ft. of the 1 inch gas line that my home has for proper gas volume . is this correct? what can i do,if anything, short of putting in another 120ft. of 1" line ?

A 3/4" gas line will do , I believe that if the line was longer than 150' , then the required line would be 1".
