Hi there Tom .. I have a question. I am taking off the tank and the bolts that hold the tank in place are rusted to hell. I have tired all diffrent kinds of lube and nothing they are still tight.. there is not much between the nut and the screw that holds it together so I cant get a hack saw in there to saw it off.. if we put a screwdriver on the screw above and a grips on the nut and try to turn the screwdriver just slipsoff.

Can I use a torch on this ? I am just afrid to heat up too much and crack the bowl or the tank ?

Please help ..thanks !

Unfortunately we lost plumber Tom a few months ago. Hope he's in plumber heaven because it's sometimes hell down here.

A torch will break the ceramic. A hacksaw blade inbetween the tank and bowl is the best place to cut. Next is to cut the nut off. I use a sawsall but you can mark the ceramic.
