For the last two days, my sinks, toilets, and showers have been spitting water for a minute or so after I cut them on. It seems like there is air getting in the water line. I have a 350 foot well with a submersible pump that is about four years old. We have had plenty of rain lately. Never had this problem before even in drought conditions. Any ideas?

Check the foot valve. Run water through a faucet or bibb until the well pump kicks on. Once the pump turns off, check the pressure at the bladder storage tank. Do not use any water for the next hour. Recheck pressure at the tank. If it is less than it was the previous hour, the foot valve may need replacing. Contact a qualified licensed plumber in your area who is experienced with well repairs. Have you noticed any unusual discoloration or turbidity in your drinking water lately? If so, the underground piping between your well and the house may have a leak. Also, check all water outlets inside & outside your home for leaks.
