My landlord just insulated the roof over my apartment with fiberglass insulation, which happens to serve as a balcony for another apartment within the same house. The smell in the appartment is very strong, and I can wake up in the middle of the night just from it. It has been a couple of days since the last coat went on, but the odour is still very strong. akvandahl, fiberglass insulation is generally odorless. In high heat conditions the binder can give off a mild odor. So, I don't understand the source of the problem. Was the roof resurfaced with tar? If you could describe the repair work, we might have better luck with your quesiton.
