I recently built a house and the heating contractor left all the end caps to high. The don't come to the floor, exposing the copper pipe. Some are as much as 2" some less. This is the case in the rooms with hardwood floors and rooms with carpet. Can longer end caps me made? extensions made? or do I have either live with it or have the heaters removed and lowered? Baseboard heat is on 1st and second floors, basement is unfinished

Thank you for the help. I have a contractor (reputable/recommended) coming to quote dropping the baseboard to the appropiate height.
