The size of a central air conditioning unit? Is it located on the unit itself somewhere?

The brand could be helpful too. Usually, the tonnage will be indicated with a series of numbers contained within the model number. 18 for 1 1/2 ton, 24 for a 2 ton, 30 for a 2 1/2, 36 for a 3 ton, and so on. If no model number is available, you'd look for the numbers on the compressor itself.

Thanks heatpumpman! I did find the model number on the back. Would the size be the at the beginning of the model number? Oh, its a Trane.

If you could, just post the full model number on here and I probably can look it up for you. Take care,
