I am getting ready to start wiring my new house and I have always hated the old standard wire staples. You know the ones, they bend all the time, are a bear to work with and just when you think you have the knack down you smash your finger hard enough to make it bleed.

I saw a staple gun at ********** that said it could be used to staple 12-2 sheathed electrical cable I think it was an Arrow T75 or similar staple gun. They are not cheap and I was wondering if someone had any experience with them and if they were worth the money. I also saw that the staples were not exactly cheap but if this thing works I will pay the price to not have smashed fingers.

Thanks for any input.

I don't run enough NM cable to bother with this tool, but I know 3 electricians that have them & they feel that it was money well spent.

if you buy one, you could probably sell it when you're done wiring your house. That would probably make it cost effective for you to use it.

You can also buy plastic "staples", with two nails through each. They're easy to hold on to, and they probably don't cost as much as a staple gun.
