JACMOC - hi, you've posted a fairly common question here - one I've seen repeatedly. You might try doing a search on this thread and the Miscellaneous thread to see what you come up with.

I'm thinking you need to reprogram the system starting with the main opener unit. They will accept up to a set number of remotes (and trying to add one back in counts against that number) and then they're maxed out. Your manual should describe how to clear the programming on your unit, after which you can add the remotes.

Unfortunately, the procedure will vary based on model number. Even worse, I don't believe you can easily download an owner's manual from the S-ears website. At this point, all I can say is God Luck! Jim D/West Point, VA

Craftsman/***** garage door openers are made by Chamberlain (Liftmaster) and have many of the same design feature and use the same remotes.

I had a detailed description of mine and some links to other resources, but it did not post.

And there have been a number of different "systems" that use different programing.

Go do a google on - replacement garage door openers -

You will find links to for many companies that sell replcement remotes and most of them have the programing instructions with the remotes.

Look under the Liftmaster/Chamberlain/***** section and then identify the type of system that you have.

You can also try here, but since these are Chamberlain numbers you might not be able to match them up with the *****.,3818,uid-d29rZ2FpZ2Vlbw==_1972,00.html
