I recently purchased a craftsman style house 1 1/2 stories and it is white with a dark red (almost rust) colored roof. It is in bad need of painting, which I'm working on but I can't find any information on colors that would be appropriate for this style house. It was built in the early 1900's. I would like to keep it somewhat authentic and from my scraping I can see yellow under the white but I can't tell what the original paint color was. Any information would really be appreciated.
I would look at homes that have been redone for this era,or look on the internet for homes restored to this era and find a color you like.This would give you a nice start to your color matching as far as a color name I would have no clue as to what the name would be others might that have restored old homes.
