Interior painting
We are trying to get the interior of an addition we have built onto home primed and painted and my wife keeps saying that we shouldn't paint when it is raining. Since the addition is a "conditioned space", i.e. heated and cooled, does it really make any difference if it is raining outside? I would think that the A/C would be eliminating any additional humidity but I could be wrong. Anyone out there know for sure?
Let me just say that if I could not paint a finished house, that is sealed. While it is raining I would be out of business.
We paint 16 projects a year while it is raining, when rain is in the forcast we jump off the ext job and start one of the interiors that is lined up.
So go ahead paint to your hearts content.

Retisin - very true.
You might notice a slightly slower dry - but unless you paint often this is unlikely.
The only time you can have issues with this is when you spraying clear lacquer on wood. Excess humidity can make it blush (turn cloudy white) even in a sealed home.
Since you aren't spraying any lacquer (I assume anyway)..Paint away!!!!
