Scraping old paint off window glass
Hi everyone, this is my first post. I've been doing some renovating in my house getting it ready to sell this summer. While painting the trim on two large windows in the livingroom someone got latex paint on the windows and didn't remove it. I know paint comes off windows easily with a straight razor blade when it's relatively fresh but when it's old it's on there like iron, believe me. Any suggestions for a way to get it off fairly easily. The only thing I know that loosens old paint on glass is to paint over it again, let dry and then scrape and it all comes off (found that out accidentally) but I would rather not do that in this case. Any replies are much appreciated!
Micro - a good sharp razor blade - and a scraper - that is all you need.
Don't try and do it with just the razor blade in your hand - it is not only dangerous - you can't get a good angle on the blade.
Remember to wear gloves and glass (razor blades sometime snap off and the pieces fly)
This has always worked for me - and I have scaped a window or two in my day...
