Somehow the wrong color drip edge (roof edge) got installed on our new home. I am assuming it would be very difficult to remove and replace after the roof is fully installed? Is there a paint that could be applied to this aluminum drip edge that would last as long as the original baked on factory paint?

Yes you can paint the aluminum drip edge and it hold up very well. Just be sure it is clean and paint it with a good exterior acrylic primer and finish with a exterior acrylic semi-gloss house paint.
