I have polyurethane sealed hardwood floors (not prefinished) throughout my house including the kitchen. I also have ceramic tile in my bathrooms and foyer. Recently, I've noticed that the Swiffer type of wet floor cleaning systems (they spray a cleaning solution onto the floors) are claiming to be safe for wood floors. I'd love to have one available for quick cleanups. The main ingredient in the cleaning solutions seems to be Isopropyl Alcohol. Are these systems really safe for my type of wood floor and ceramic tiles or could I cause some damage by using them?
Thank you.

it will be no problem for the ceramic tile, the hard wood is another question, the isopropyl is not the cleaning agent .it to make the water dry up faster.the cleaner is water /isopropyl / soap, it should be o.k. on your wood floor ( but remember water and wood dont mix) so you may need to refinish the floor sooner. try this ,vacume your wood floor, then sweep the floor with a push broom, wrap the push broom with old t-shirts and spray them with "endust"
