Is there a way to create an entrance to be proud to walk in to from where there are now Bilco Door? I am buying a beautiful Horse Farm and will learn as I go...this may sound unrealistic but there is a expert horseman that has agreed to live on the premises. I have a finished basement but the egress is through Bilco Doors. I would like to attempt to create an entrance by taking the doors off, adding a roof and having an entrance that looks as though there were never Bilco's there. I would like it to look like you are entering a 'normal' apartment. The house is vinyl siding and there is a kitchen window that a roof may encroach upon, so the roof would have to be sort of a 'tray ceiling' shape. It is in Chatsworth NJ, it would be easier to show you with pictures or if you are in the area it would better than when they surprise people on Extreme Home Makeover. Anyway I have photos . My closing is within 30 days so I need a creative, aesthetically pleasing idea asap. Do you have any???
