My dishwasher was dropped and now leaks at a seam (stainless steel interior) in the body of the dishwasher. Suggesttions on stopping the leak? I tried silicone (didn't work) and am considering soddering the seam back together.

Why? I don't know why it wouldn't.

It'll probably have to be silver solder, I doubt regular plumbing solder would work on stainless steel but have never tried it myself. If you try, make absolutely certain it is lead free!
Whatever you try, make sure it is food grade so you don't end up poisoning the users.

Most upper level dishwashers with stainless interiors have a lifetime warranty against leaks. Call the manufacturer or the store where you bought it first. If you had posted the brand and model, we could have provided warranty information specific to that unit.

That may be true (or for at least 5-25 years) but not usually when due to customer abuse/damage line the OP stated ("My dishwasher was dropped").
BTW. I don't even know if any manufacturers replace dishwasher tubs any longer, I think they may just replace the whole dishwasher. It's likely a lot more cost effective.
