My whirlpool imperial series side by side is defrosting everyday. It is having ice build up on the sides, and there is water pooling on the floor beneath. What can I do to fix this. Also, a little background, my fridge stopped cooling all together , and I had an electrical part fixed it was called a condenser or compressor regulator. something like that. please, if you can help I would greatly appreciate this!!!

** whirlpool imperial series side by side **

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number.

You can find tips for locating the model number identification tag on your appliances in the 'Repair Parts' section of my web site linked below.

** It is having ice build up on the sides **

The "sides" of what? Where?

** is defrosting everyday **

If whatever model you have is a frost-free model, it could defrost several times a day. That is how it stays frost-free.

** there is water pooling on the floor beneath. **

Maybe the drain pan is overflowing or defrost water is just not being funnelled there properly?

** I had an electrical part fixed **
