I have looked but cannot find a cordless tool that also has a power cord. I bought a cordless drill because it is handy not having to lug out the extension cord and plug in. However, it is a big pain when the battery runs down and I have to recharge the battery. ( I have two but they tend to take a while to charge) It sure would be great to be able to use one tool and plug in the cordless when in a pinch. It is so weird that I can charge my cell phone and use it a the same time but can't charge my drill and drill at the same time. Anyone have a solution other than buying a corded drill?

I start out with both my batterys full charge and then when the 1st dies I grab the 2nd off the charger and stick dead on charger by the time 2nd is dying the 1st is charged to full power,maybe your battery cells are dying or the drill is an older model thus battery life isnt as advanced as ones available now.
Or buy a 3rd battery for it and thus the 1st will have ample time to charge by the time you kill the 3rd one.
