I am putting in santos mahogany hardwood in my kitchen and family rooms. Does anyone have any suggestions on what color to paint the kitchen and family with this dark floor.

My kitchen cabinets are oak colored.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Personaly, I would paint with a rich bring zest to the room and complement the great mahogany. If you have a more conservitive palete I suggest a forest green. But depending on the sizes and how well lit the rooms are, those color choices may prove too dark and claustrophobic (sorry I can't spell if my life depended on it!) And in that case a misty sage could work to your advantage; brightens it up and looks great with oak...

Checking Out:

Glidden Victoria Red 98RR 12/480

Behr French Tarragon PMD-46d

Behr Mountain Sage PMD-36p

these are some of the paints I tested when decorating my dinning room around my mahogany furniture (mahogany is a great choice!)
