Your comments make no sense what so ever. You never received advice suggesting that you should bypass the safety controls on your furnace. On the contrary, you were advised to fix it properly, and were told that your problem was YOUR tampering to bypass the lockout mode. Your accusation is completely bogus. If that is the best you can do to discredit a contributing pro on this board, you have your head in a place where the sun don't shine.

I question your credentials or those of others in this forum.....but prove me wrong on paper and an apology will be on its way. I also wonder if you can comprehend what you read....I did consult with a certified tech. before I removed the sensor. This sensor in question has caused significant problems and from my understanding, the manufacturer has modified the location of this sensor due to problems it has created. Now if you have something constuctive to add so I can understand this problem, please reply to me or just talk to the hand.....thanks for your constuctive input

Sounds like this guy has too much time on his hands.

I wonder why he would want to come here in the first place, after he had already addressed and solved (so claimed) the problem and try to discredit anyone here. Is there a personal grud against someone here? If so then they should keep it personal...I'm not interested in his childish games. Or is it something against Bob?

Not too much bores me unless it's someone acting like they know it all when in reality they know absolutely nothing.

I think it's a good idea. Contractors are the biggest rip-off artists there are next to the insurance companies. I think I would trust a snake quicker than a contractor ~ no offense to any of the contractors here ~ once bitten twice shy.

Occassionally the wrong advice is given on this board, but no one ever said this was the gospel. It's always a good idea to research something before jumping into it ~ like the saying, "Measure twice and cut once" too many people get it backwards. They measure once and end up cutting twice or maybe more.

We put in a new ArcoAire furnace a year ago. When it is running, the exhaust pipe that goes outside is too hot to put your hand on it. The air coming from registers that heat the rooms are putting out a very luke-warm air. Does this sound right? It is not heating very well. If the temp gets set back it takes forever to get warm. In really cold weather it can take a couple of days to bring temp up. What is wrong?

Last week I asked about a new furnace that doesn't heat well. We have just had a furnace repairman look at it. He found that it needed an adjustment. The fuel line was only half open and furnace was not getting enough gas.
