I want to replace my laundry room pull light switch to a wall switch. The ceiling is all open so it is very assessable. I will also replace the whole light because there is just a base with a light bulb now. Thanks!

You need to run a switch leg cable to the switch.

Not that colors of the wires. And the whilte wire is REMAKRED using tape, paint or marker, so that it is any color but white, gray, or green.
