I am renting a house and have to provide my own washer and dryer. The stove is gas, so I was thinking there might be gas hookups for the dryer as well. I took a screen shot of a video I had taken of the property so the picture isn't that great, but I suspect that the small capped pipe to the bottom right of the dryer vent may be a gas line?
I see the large 3-prong plug for an electric hookup too. If I do have a gas-capable dryer hookup, which is better? Gas or electric? Any other recommendations for someone who is purchasing a washer/dryer for te first time?

Can anyone tell if this is a gas hookup or not?

Sure looks like a gas pipe. Wouldn't the landlord know?
