I have recently built a new home and plan on putting a shed in the backyard. I plan on utilizing a 10x10 space; if I use the entire 10x10 space, it would kiss the gutter downspout, something I do not want to do. Few questions for you all:
Sod was installed roughly 4 weeks ago, is it ok to pour concrete there so soon?
Is it a good idea to place a shed in a corner?
In that space, how large of a concrete slab would you recommend?
Should the slab touch the house's foundation, or would you leave a gap?
How much space should there be between the shed and the bricks?
Something I am concerned about is the potential of sitting water in the corner, would you angle the concrete in the corner downwards to help drain? (the shed would sit level).
What size shed would you recommend? I would like to utilize the shed as my workbench area, I would also like to store my lawn mower, edger, etc in the shed as well.
What style roof would you recommend (i.e. lean-to, ranch, barn. ,etc.)?
What shed material would you recommend (i.e. vinyl, wood, etc.)?
I live in a suburd of Houston, TX. Plenty of sun, rain, and wind. Thanks in advance for you suggestions and recommendations.
