how do you remediate lead paint?

As a homeowner in 1930's house, the trim has been stripped down to wood but chips still have testable lead. Under many levels of paint it will still be there. As long as paint isn't friable it should be "safe". As soon as you break the surface you have lead dust.
You can remove/ replace the trim. The Windows are the place to start as they lose paint every time they move. Door trim same thing.
Walls and ceiling can be covered with thin sheets sheet rock. Or mask up, remove furniture, tear down plaster/ lath walls and replace. Good luck
