I too have flaking Trex decking from 2005-06 installation. Trex has indicated they will replace my boards, but no labour or fascia. Likely going to cost me several thousand dollars to remove railing and existing boards, purchase fasteners for replacement product and then reinstall replacement board for my 750 sq ft deck. Is anyone familiar with a sealant that can be applied to existing trex to stop/prevent further flaking. If I can halt the flaking process, then I can likely live with the current flaking state of my existing Trex (provided it doesn't get worse). I live in the Canadian prairies where temperature changes from -50C (-58F) to 40C (104F), and significant snowfall is normal.
