Staining cedar shutters for a distressed look
Not painting, but staining cedar outdoor shutters. I already stained our cedar posts and frame. I want to stain same color on shutters but I'm looking for a more distressed look there. The only ideas I've heard of is just sanding in-between coats of stain, torching then sanding between coats. Does the Vaseline technique work with stain as I've seen with paint? On my posts I dry brushed after staining, but that isn't a distressed look. Please any easy help here would be greatly appreciated!
