There are stacks of papers and books with mold and mildew in our basement. How quickly should these be removed / how much of a health risk is this?

This is a very bad thing when you love your book. The damp in the basement results mold in the books. You must take care of the basement and fix the basement leakage. To remove this mold in a faster way you can use HEPA filter vacuum hose attachment with a thin cloth or dryer to remove mold from books. Before cleaning tie you mouth and nose for your health care, keep away babies from the basement till cleaning.
