Motion Detector Light

I have a motion detector light that will not turn off after it has been triggered. This light is several years old, and I no longer have the instructions. I remember that there was a series of steps I had to go through in order to make the light work as desired, but without the instructions, I can't remember what they were. Any suggestions?
